Growing Lacrosse Across Peru
At WawaLax, our mission is to cultivate a thriving lacrosse community in Peru by engaging with players at every level. We are committed to introducing the sport to young enthusiasts through grassroots programs, integrating lacrosse into school curriculums, and supporting the development of national teams. Our efforts aim to inspire a new generation of athletes and foster a love for lacrosse that transcends boundaries.

Our Journey Through the Years
Since our inception in 2012, WawaLax has been dedicated to fostering the sport of lacrosse throughout Peru. Our journey is marked by significant milestones that have shaped our growth and success.
2012
Foundation of WawaLax
WawaLax was founded with the vision of introducing and developing lacrosse in Peru, starting with grassroots initiatives in local communities.
2015
First National Tournament
We hosted our first national lacrosse tournament, bringing together teams from across the country and setting the stage for future competitions.
2018
International Recognition
WawaLax gained international recognition by becoming a member of the World Lacrosse and the Pan-American Lacrosse Association (PALA).
2021
Women's Team Milestone
Our women’s team made history by scoring their first goal against the USA, showcasing the talent and potential of Peruvian athletes on the global stage.
